The first images have been released by Amazon Studios 2 comes to America, A sequel to the 1988 classic Eddie Murphy vehicle about the African prince who discovered true love in the USA.
At this point, Murphy is preparing to become the king of Zamunda, but he realizes he has a son he never knew in America. Respecting his father’s death wish to choose his son as Crown Prince, Prince Akim is preparing to find an heir in Joffer, NY, Queens.
For the sequel, Sammy (Arsenio Hall) is on board, along with Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Shaw Headley, John Amos, Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes and James Earl Jones.
The film will be released on Prime Video in early March, with some countries receiving theatrical release in some international regions through the original distributor Paramount Pictures.
