Norm Crosby, One of the top comedians of the 60’s and beyond has died.
Crosby’s wife said her husband suffered heart failure.
His moniker was Meleprops … an abuse of words which was quite hilarious. He would muse that he went to the tailor for some fights. And, this is madness … he once joked to people that those who cannot read or write are victims of illegality!
Norm was the lead with “The Tonight Show” Johnny Carson … appears more than 50 times. He made rounds for sure, “The Ed Sullivan Show,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Rosen,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” and, of course, “The Love Boat.”
Norm recently appeared in “Grow Own Knops 2” … he played a Kmar worker. He was also in “8 Crazy Nights”.
And, Crosby was a regular on the roasting circuit, which often appears Dean MartinCelebrity Roast. He was also the host of the TV series “The Medi Shop”. Also helped on a regular basis Jerry Lewis With hosting duties at their annual Labor Day telethon.
Norm is survived by his wife, John, 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
He was 93 years old.
