BOSTON (CBS) – Dave Portnoy was voluntarily arrested for defending Tom Brady’s honor, so the Barstool Sports founder’s loyalty to TB12 really cannot be questioned.
However, now with Brady moving to “Tompa Bay” and ending his 20-year career with the Patriots, the quarterback has opened up to the beards of even his most loyal supporters.
That was evident on Tuesday when Brady posted an Instagram photo of his training in Tampa.
“TB Two-Tone Square Shirt: I Gotta Win Dark Orange, ”Brady wrote in the caption, referring to his sweat-soaked shirt.
Portnoy, who is about the same age as Brady, commented on the post, digging Brady like an old man.
“Am I crazy or does Orange make you look 75 years old?” Portnoy wrote from his @stoolpresident account.
During his Patriots days, Brady could leave that comment alone. But “Warm Weather Tom” decided to return fire.
“You’re right, not spring chicken,” Brady replied, before issuing a little warning. “Come see me in January.”

Clearly, Brady has some great plans for his first year with the Bucs. And while his ultimate goal will be to play in Super Bowl LV at Buccaneers Stadium, that journey will begin in January. He’ll be a few months older by then, but Brady clearly feels confident he’ll look pretty good.
