Colorado Governor Jared Police announces he has tested positive for COVID-19


Colorado Governor Jared Police announced Saturday that he and his colleague, Marlon Reese, have both tested positive for the coronavirus. By Saturday night, both the governor and the first gentleman were asymptomatic, a Statement From the governor’s office.

“Marlon and I are feeling well so far, and in good spirits,” police said. “No person or family is immune to this virus. I urge every Colorado to exercise caution, limit interaction in public, wear a mask in public, stay six feet away from others, and wash your hands regularly.”

Police will operate remotely for that time, the statement said.

Since the onset of the epidemic, more than 225,000 cases have been reported in Colorado and more than 2,500 people have died, according to the state’s public health department.
