College Football Elections, Schedule: Forecast Against Spreads, Obstacles to Top 25 Sports in Week 14

The 2020 schedule of the college ledge was again postponed and scrapped by COVID-19 this week, but 14 slates a week is the strongest – at least in terms of brand value – we’ve done in a week. The country’s top six teams are all in action, and while each is facing an unranked opponent, five of them are getting in the way.

The SEC on CBS will be the doubleheader in which the SEC will face former rival Tennessee with Florida No. 6 and get a chance to capture the division and a place in the SEC Championship game. No. 1 follows with a trip to Alabama LSU as the Crimson Tide both focus on SEC West and take a little revenge on the Tigers after last year’s defeat.

No. 4 Ohio State is on track against a Michigan State team that knocked Northwestern out of the undefeated rank last week, while No. 3 Clemson is battling a road night game and No. 5 Texas against a tough Virginia tech team to win the A&M signing to end his season. The search begins the day in the ub burn team. No. 2 Notre Dame is the aforementioned team with a home game, but it is a 34-point favorite against Syracuse.

Will anyone look different before the weekend in the weekend ledge football playoff rankings? We will find out based on the results of these marquee games. While winning is important in all things, we care about whether these teams will cover their spread or not. Be sure to stick with CBS Sports throughout the day for college leg football coverage from the opening kickoff to the final whistle on Saturday. Let’s take a look at our expert selection for week 14.

Odds by William Hill Sportsbook | Eastern all the time

Ohio State at No. 4 Michigan State (Noon, ABC)

Latest hurdles:

Buccaneers-23.5

Here’s the thing: Michigan State beat Northwestern last week, but it’s not like it was a strong performance. Four Northwestern turnovers certainly helped, and we shouldn’t ignore the fact that Michigan State’s final touch came on the final game of the game when it got sidelined in the final zone. I just don’t believe Michigan State has the offensive firepower to match the bookies, and Ohio State desperately needs an impressive win. If he has a chance to run the score, he will not be ashamed of it. Pick: Ohio State (-23.5) – Tom Fornelly

No. 5 Texas A&M Burn (Noon, ESPN)

The Aggies team is on a mission, and that mission will succeed on Saturday afternoon. They will dominate the conspiracy line on both sides of the ball and control the game from the start. The defensive front of Texas A&M N Burn will survive in the backfield, pushing the Bo Knicks into many errors and getting the Tigers off schedule on a consistent basis. Pick: Texas A&M (-7) – Barrett Sally

No. 6 at Florida Tennessee (3:30 p.m., CBS)

Latest hurdles:

Gators-17.5

Tennessee’s ability to run the ball suggests it could produce some sort of offense against the Florida defense that is not necessarily elite. But there is nothing else to show that volunteers will keep it competitive. Florida’s crime is just too explosive and should provide adequate cover to protect it from touchdowns without volunteers covering the spread. Pick: Florida (-17.5) – David Cobb

No. 3 Clemson Virginia Tech (7:30 p.m., ABC)

With the Tigers College Football approaching the playoffs, the way the Tigers are handling the business is ruthless and I expect Saturday night to continue. I made the mistake of being smarter and picking up against Clemson last week, and I won’t make that mistake again. If Virginia Tech can defile the game, it is able to cover it, but you don’t want to bet on unusual circumstances with the Clemson team, which is (again) looking for its best form at the end of the year. Pick: Clemson-22 – Chip Patterson

LSU at No. 1 Alabama (8 p.m., CBS)

Latest hurdles:

Crimson Tide-29

This is a widespread spread, but don’t worry about it. Put the dots and enjoy the offensive show that Alabama will put in prime time on Saturday night. Nick Saban’s crew averaged 48.5 points per game this season, and he tops the 40-point mark in seven straight contests. This LSU team will not only be able to continue, but it will struggle to reach double digits. Pick: Alabama (-28.5)
