CNN anchor Chris Cuomo strongly suggested Thursday night that President Trump was responsible for the death of former Republican presidential candidate and business icon Herman Cain.
Cain’s death was announced after he was hospitalized earlier this month due to complications from the coronavirus. However, critics of the president point to Cain’s attendance at the Tulsa, Oklahoma rally on June 20, when the outspoken businessman contracted the deadly disease.
During his opening monologue, Cuomo failed to declare Trump directly responsible for Cain’s death.

“The virus is swallowing us fast. All colors, all stripes, all creeds. It just took a former presidential candidate, Herman Cain,” Cuomo told his viewers. “Yes, he supported the President. The President says he was a good friend of his. We wish his family the best and we wish him to rest in peace and I wish this President does not have peace until he thinks about what he is exposing people to. ” “
Cuomo continued: “He didn’t even mention that Mr. Cain was in his concentration among the masks without a mask just before he was diagnosed. Now, maybe he didn’t get there. Hell sure didn’t help.”
The host of “Cuomo Prime Time” has raised his eyebrows in recent months, from his hostile confrontation with a cyclist while breaking the quarantine in the midst of his recovery from the coronavirus to the series of softball interviews he conducted with his brother, the governor.
