Montrezl Harrell has yet to return to the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, and is expected to miss the LA Clippers’ restart game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, a source confirmed to ESPN.
The Clippers will already be without reign, the sixth man of the year, Lou Williams, who is in the midst of a 10-day quarantine after leaving the NBA campus with an excused absence. Harrell left the bubble on July 17 to attend to a justified family emergency, and his return remains in the air.
Yahoo Sports first reported that Harrell is unlikely to face the Lakers.
Starting guard Patrick Beverley returned Sunday and was quarantined after leaving Orlando to attend a justified family emergency. Clippers coach Doc Rivers said he considered Beverley a “maybe” when asked about the point guard status to play in the opening opener against the Lakers.
The Clippers are expected to have Ivica Zubac and Landry Shamet after they both arrived in Orlando on Saturday and cleared the quarantine. Zubac, the departure center, and Shamet, a reserve guard, said they tested positive for COVID-19 previously in Los Angeles.
