Clint Bavier is retiring from NASCAR to become Fox Sports Analyst


Clint Boyer claims, well, for his firesuit.

The veteran NASCAR leader announced on Twitter on Thursday that he is retiring from the race at the end of the 2020 season to become a Fox Sports analyst.

Yer1-year-old Boyer has long been a contributor to the Fox Sports Xfinity series coverage and is a frequent guest on Raceday and Race Hub, but will focus on the Cup series in his new role.

“Like my driving career, I will be part of an organization with a great team and great teammates,” Boyer wrote. “It would be an understatement to say I’m excited.”

The 2008 ExxonMobil Series champion has won 10 races in her 15-year, full-time Cup Series career and finished second in the 2012 season. He is 11th in the standings and needs his win at Charlotte this weekend to advance to the NASCAR playoff round of four, which opens on his home track, Kansas Speedway.
