Cleveland Protocol drama: Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac apologize, Francisco Lindor speaks


The Indians today again place pitchers Zach Plesac and Mike Clevinger on the Restricted List as they quarantine themselves after a Saturday night in Chicago, in violation of the health and safety protocol. Plesac was apparently brushed Saturday night, and sent them home to Cleveland in a rental car. Clevinger remained silent and flew back with the team on Sunday. Only yesterday did the team learn he was out with Plesac, and scrapped him from his planned start.

That the two pitchers will not be at the club tonight or tomorrow against the Cubs, and each has offered a statement to apologize for their selfish mistakes (with Clevinger being particularly bad because he made his bad judgment in the had initially hidden):
