Clark County among Nevada counties flagged for increased COVID-19 transmission risk

NEVADA (KTNV) – The Nevada Health Response Team has identified eight states in the state that are at increased risk for disease transmission as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

County leaders will work with state services over the next few days to examine each county’s data through an assessment plan, according to the health response team.

The counties meet two or more of the criteria set forth in the State’s Road to Recovery: Moving to a new normal plan as of August 6 includes:

-Carson City
-Clothes
-Elko
-Humboldt
-Lander
-Lincoln
-No
-Washoe

The counties in question will submit an action plan for review and approval to the Nevada Health Response Team, which will include key state and local representatives.

If the counties are found to meet two or more of the criteria again on August 13, they will have to implement those approved plans to help reduce the spread of the virus in the communities.

The approved measures will then be implemented on 14 August.

Counties that meet at least two criteria this week but show new week improvement in the data and meet zero if any of the plan’s criteria will not have to take action on August 14, but will have to wait against the spread of COVID-19, according to the Health Response Team.
