There will be 162 games in 2020. The regular season is slated for a 60-game season after the sport closes in mid-March due to the global pandemic of COVID-19. With the teams back in their home cities, and mostly practicing (several teams canceled practices today after delays in their test results), some form of baseball is back, even if it’s weird sometimes. However, it has been good to see practices every day from Great American Ballpark. If you didn’t know, the Reds are streaming those videos live every day on their various social media platforms. Tonight, however, we can finally see what the 2020 Cincinnati Reds calendar will look like.

Opening day will take place for the Cincinnati Reds on July 24. The Reds will play at home, featuring the Detroit Tigers with a start time of 6:10 pm ET. Two games will be played on July 23 (the first game of the season will be New York Yankees vs. Washington Nationals).
What is interesting is that the Reds and Tigers are aligned in 2020 as “rivals”. Cincinnati will play Detroit six times this year, more than any other team in the Central American League. That is likely to be beneficial to the Reds, who generally play more with Cleveland, and well, there is a big difference in role between how good those two teams are.
What do you think about the schedule? Do you like the possibilities of reds? Argue.
