LOS ANGELES (AP) – Actress Christina Ricci filed for divorce on Thursday from her husband of seven years and is seeking sole custody of their son.

Ricci filed documents in the Los Angeles County Superior Court to dissolve her marriage to James Heerdegen, citing irreconcilable differences.

The documents say Ricci wants sole legal and physical custody of his 5-year-old son Freddie.

Ricci met Heerdegen, a film and television camera operator, on the set of her short television series “Pan Am” in 2011. They started dating the following year and were married in 2013.

Ricci is best known for her child labor in hit movies like “Casper” and “The Addams Family”, and for her adult appearances in independent movies like “Black Snake Moan” and “Buffalo 66”.
