Christina Ricci just filed for divorce from her husband after almost 7 years of marriage … TMZ found out.
The “Casper” and “Addams Family” star filed Thursday morning in Los Angeles County Superior Court to divorce the film producer James Heerdegen, whom Ricci met in 2011 while working on the set of the “Pan Am” show. They were married on October 26, 2013 in New York.
Ricci cites irreconcilable differences as the reason he wants to end the marriage. She is seeking sole legal and physical custody of her 5-year-old son, Freddie.
Our sources say there is no prenuptial agreement, but Christina was the main source of income. And then there’s this … Ricci received an emergency protection order from the police after an altercation in which she claims James spit it out. The altercation occurred exactly a week ago at her Los Angeles home.
Heerdegen, who was not arrested after the incident, was ordered to stay away from Ricci.
Ricci is represented by an attorney Samantha Spector in divorce
