Chris Wallace: Kamala Harris is a ‘form-shifter’, allowing Trump to attack harder

First Chamber member Kamala Harris, D-Caliph., Is a ‘form-shifter’ who is making it difficult for the Trump campaign and President Trump to figure out how to get behind them, “anchors Fox News Sunday “told” The Brian Kilmeade Show “on Thursday.

Wallace made the comment two days after Harris – a politically shy senator with a background in legislation that has caused some tension with the progressive left – was announced as Joe Biden’s running mate.

“I would say her record as attorney general and district attorney was pretty mediocre,” said Wallace host Brian Kilmeade, adding that, in fact, it was “one of the things that hurt her in the Democratic primary. . ”

“She was seen as too difficult in prosecuting drug cases,” Wallace explained. ‘She was seen as too soft to go after police officers who were engaged in shooting. She opposed a special prosecutor to investigate police and shootings, so she was pretty mediocre at the time. ”

He added that he thinks “she has moved to Washington as a senator in Washington.”

“That’s what I said, I think that when you talk about people on the left of the Democratic Party like Elizabeth Warren, some of the others, I still do not think I would put her in that group, and it’s one of the “Reasons why I think the Trump campaign and President Trump himself have had some trouble figuring out how to get behind them,” Wallace continued.

‘Because if I find anything, it’s legitimate to say she’s a form-shifter. It is evolving, ”he added.

Kilmeade agreed with Wallace, saying she evolved “in a way that may make the left easier, but perhaps not those who want it to be moderate.”

He then gave examples of how Harris “has evolved”, including her comments from the past to say that she “strongly” believes in Medicare-for-All.

Asked if she thinks this is socialist, Harris said, “No, it’s about giving health care to all people.”

Kilmeade also pointed to Harris’ earlier remarks, saying she supported the Green New Deal and the fact that when she was asked in the first Democratic debate whether she wanted to give health care to government-sponsored health care illegal immigrants, Harris and Biden both their hard.

Wallace pointed out that overall “the party has moved to the left.”

“You see what Joe Biden is proposing now and where Barack Obama stood just four years ago, … the Democratic Party has gone through a lot of problems,” Wallace said. “That’s just kind of the nature of it, but in the context of the Democratic Party, I don’t think she’s on the far left, left of the party.”
