President Donald Trump interrupted an interview with Chris Wallace on Friday, after Fox News presenter told him that former Vice President Joe Biden does not want to “shell out” police departments.
The incident occurred when the two were discussing an increase in crime.
“It is because they want to underfund the police, and Biden wants to underfund the police,” Trump said.
“Sir, not him,” Wallace interjected.
“Look, he signed a letter with Bernie Sanders,” Trump began.
“And it says nothing about firing the police,” Wallace insisted.
“Really? He says abolish. He says: come on. Get me the letter, please,” Trump said, interrupting the interview.
Wallace said Trump had an assistant retrieve the letter in question. But the president could not find the language on the removal of the police after reading it.
