If the news of 10-time All-Star point guard Chris Paul coming into the valley wasn’t enough for Phoenix Sons fans, it got even better.
About 24 hours after the trade became official, Paul and Sons starlet Devin Booker had already begun working together.
And where would it be good for both of them to host the first shooterhond as his companion at the home of owner Robert Server?
But Tuesday night was not the first time Pa Paul Lay had played at Hardwood.
That’s because the court is referring to the 2009 NBA All-Star Game that was hosted in Phoenix at the then U.S. Airways Center.
Paul was the starting point guard for the 2008-09 Western Conference All-Stars, his second of 10 career ASG selections.
How old was Booker at that time? Only 12 years old
Now 35-year-old Paul and 24-year-old Booker are already trying to turn to the fate of Phoenix, who suffers from the Valley’s oldest professional sports franchise that hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2009-10 season.
Indeed, there has not been so much optimism around the sun in a decade, when Paul was just as old as Booker.
