Chris Hemsworth thanked his fans for their “continued support” after Netflix revealed that Extraction is the streaming service’s most successful original movie.
The platform released the Top 10 list earlier this week, which saw the film as Murder Mystery, starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, as well as Martin Scorsese’s three-hour awards, The Irishman.
Other titles that made the cut, but failed to beat the action thriller, include Bird Box, which ranked No. 2, and Spenser Confidential, The Platform, and 6 Underground.

Responding to the news, Hemsworth turned to Instagram to share a screenshot of the original Deadline report along with the caption: “I can’t thank you all enough for the continued support of Extraction! I’m still strong and sitting on the Netflix’s # 1 Biggest Movie! Guys Are The Best. “
Based on the graphic novel City of Ande Parks and directed by Sam Hargrave, Extraction follows Tyler Rake of Hemsworth, a black market mercenary who is forced to carry out his most dangerous mission yet: rescue the kidnapped son of a notorious crime lord.
Recently, screenwriter Joe Russo scoffed that the movie’s previous sequel is set to “scale up” in every possible way.
“I started writing three weeks ago,” he told ET Online. “He’s a great character to write for, with a fantastic performance by Hemsworth. So it makes my job easier. I think the mission is to scale up in this regard, both emotionally and physically.”
