Chris Harrison Leaving ‘Bachelorette’ – JoJo Fletcher as Temp Host

It’s time for JoJo Fletcher to do her best, ‘this is it finale rose of the night, everyone. ‘

Fletcher, who was late in season 12 The Bachelorette, will temporarily fill in for longtime host Chris Harrison during the show’s next 16th cycle.

As first reported by Us weekly, Harrison was forced to caravan 14-quarantine himself after dropping his son Joshua out of high school in Texas. (Scroll down to see Harrison’s Instagram post of the big move.) Thus, Fletcher will take over two weeks as host while the show is in production at a resort in California. A source tells Us weekly that Harrison “will be back in time for the last few shows.”

TVLine has reached out to ABC and Warner Bros. for comment.

Fletcher first joined the ABC dating franchise as a participant in Ben Higgins’ season The bachelor, where she ended up as a successor to Lauren Bushnell. She then issued the roses herself The Bachelorette, finally choosing Jordan Rodgers in the season finale; the two are still busy.

But this is hardly the only shaking that takes place around The Bachelorette this season: Rumors began to creep in earlier this month that Clare Crawley, who was set to die in Season 16, fell in love with one of her suitors very quickly and did not want to continue with a full season of dates. Tayshia Adams, a Colton Underwood fan of the season The bachelor, was presumably introduced as the new lead, and new rumors suggest that franchise alumni Becca Kufrin and Hannah Ann Sluss may also be involved with Season 16.

ABC has not yet commented publicly on the casting rumors, although a new promo seems to confirm a twirl of some sort behind-the-scenes.
