The National Health Commission sent a task force to guide and assist in the treatment of the new Dalian crown pneumonia cluster epidemic: West China Network (Shaanxi News Network)

Following the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia cluster in Dalian, Liaoning, the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council and the National Health Commission attached great importance to it. On December 22, a task force was dispatched to Dalian to guide and assist in the investigation and treatment of the epidemic. The working group is led by colleagues in charge of the Health Emergencies Office of the National Health Commission and is made up of 10 experts in the areas of medical management, epidemiology, virology, disease prevention and control, and health emergency.

After arriving in Dalian, the task force immediately joined the epidemic prevention and control command system, the working mechanism and the local professional team. The national, provincial, municipal and district joint circulation traceability work class combines epidemiology and big data methods to carry out on-site circulation analysis in the new Jinpu district to classify the epidemic transmission chain. Laboratory testing experts assisted with local disease control agencies to perform laboratory testing and analysis and comparison of gene sequences. Medical and emergency prevention and control experts conduct field research and provide guidance on medical treatment, prevention and control of hospital infections, nucleic acid testing, community prevention and control, and centralized isolation point management.

From December 15 to 24, a total of 19 confirmed cases and 20 asymptomatic infections were reported in this clustered epidemic in Dalian. Local measures for the prevention and control of the epidemic and response to emergencies are being implemented in a comprehensive and orderly manner.
