Strong cold air continues to affect southern regions

In addition, due to the combined effects of cold air from the south and the flow of warm and humid air from the south, on the 14th, there were still light rains with snow or sleet in the south of the Yangtze River and in the eastern part of the southwest region. . There was moderate to heavy snowfall in parts of northwestern Jiangxi and the western mountainous areas of Zhejiang. , Guizhou, western Hunan and other places have freezing rain.

Specific forecast for the next three days

From 08:00 on December 14 to 08:00 on 15, there was light to moderate snow or sleet over most of the southern Yangtze River, the southeastern part of the Southwest region, the northern part of the Western Plateau from Sichuan, the western part of southern Xinjiang and the eastern part of Tibet. 5-9 mm). There were light to moderate rains and intense local rains (25 to 45 mm) in parts of central and southern Jiangnan, the Sichuan Basin, eastern Yunnan, most of southern China, and the island of Taiwan (see Figure 3 ).

From 08:00 on December 16 to 08:00 on 17, there was light snow or sleet in parts of eastern Tibet, southern Gansu, southern Qinghai, northwestern Sichuan Basin, and central Guizhou. There were light rains in parts of southeastern Tibet, most of southern Yangtze River, eastern part of southwest China, western part of southern China, and the island of Taiwan, and local moderate rains (see Figure 4).
