Despite the 33% higher price, the iPhone 11 Pro Max is no match for the OnePlus 8 Pro.
OnePlus officially launched the long-awaited (and frequently leaked) OnePlus 8 series last week. The devices would again provide solid hardware at a low price. Either way, it worked. And how painfully big are the differences with premium devices, you can check out in this article.
Earlier this year, we already compared the iPhone 11 Pro Max with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. That comparison was a bit embarrassing for Apple, too, because the iPhone really couldn’t rotate with Samsung in any way. The only thing that made that comparison fair was the fact that the Galaxy S20 Ultra was much more expensive. But that argument is invalid if you compare the iPhone to a new OnePlus 8 Pro.
The OnePlus 8 Pro has a bigger and sharper screen, twice or even triple the amount of RAM, a bigger battery, a much faster charge, sharper cameras, a second SIM card slot, etc. And that for a starting price of around € 900. The cheaper and considerably less equipped iPhone 11 Pro Max costs more than 33% more.
The only thing Apple could have going for it in this comparison is the Apple Bionic A13. Apple processors are usually very good. But fair is fair, as this comparison shows, the Snapdragon 865 can walk very well with the A13.
So in the end it is a little painful how much more target power the OnePlus 8 Pro has compared to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. It is true that the iPhone is more than half a year old and Apple always offers a certain state and brand link with which OnePlus dreams. But it is up to you to decide if that is at least € 350.
