Nokia 9.3 and Nokia 7.3 launch in August or September
A new rumor (from Nokia PowerUser) claims that the Nokia 9.3 and Nokia 7.3 will launch somewhere in the middle or at the end of the third quarter. This means that the launch should take place sometime in August or September.
Nokia’s next flagship, the 9.3, will be delayed for a while. As a result, HMD Global, Nokia’s parent company, does not compete with the latest high-end smartphones of the moment.
The moment the Nokia 9.3 will see the light of day, we expect a number of new high-end phones from other brands. For example, Samsung probably reveals the Galaxy Note 20, Huawei the Mate 40 and Google are Pixel 5. At that point, the question is to what extent Nokia can or wants to compete with this.
The Nokia 9.3 is likely to serve as a successor to the Nokia 9 PureView, which was noted by the five ribs on the back. However, it has not been clear for some time what exactly it is like with its successor. At first we thought of a Nokia 9.1, but in the end it was completely removed. The Nokia 9.2 would take over, but this device never appeared.
Nokia 7.3 with 5G functionality
The Nokia 9.3 is reportedly to be released simultaneously with the Nokia 7.3, a logical successor to the Nokia 7.2 that launched last September. There are rumors suggesting that there are now two different Nokia 7.3 prototypes, one of which has 5G support.
So the new mid-range Nokia phone probably offers 5G functionality, which has also been suggested above. The presentation in August or September has not yet been finalized. HMD Global has yet to determine what influence the coronavirus will have around that time.
