It’s official: Netflix has made a new episode of the hit series “Tiger King” and will be available to watch from Sunday. In “Tiger King & I”, actor and presenter Joel McHale (known from “Community”) interviews the stars of the reality series.
Rumors of a new episode of “Tiger King” have circulated in recent days after Jeff Lowe, one of the controversial figures in the notable Netflix documentary series, directed it in a video. Now the streaming service has officially confirmed the special launch and immediately provided more information on the special. Tiger King and I will broadcast to you from Sunday and it consists of a series of interviews with the most notable people in the series.
“Tiger King” tells the story of the eccentric Joe Exotic, a former zoo owner with a liking for big cats and himself. Exotic is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for planning a murder and multiple counts of animal cruelty and illegal animal trafficking. He himself maintains his innocence.
Joe Exotic is a big absentee
At Tiger King & I, Jeff Lowe and his wife Lauren, among others, have their say. They are the new owners of the zoo and are anything but impeccable. Joe Exotics’ ex-husband John Laney, ex-park employee John Reinke and television producer Rick Kirkham also stepped in front of Netflix cameras. The big absentees are Joe Exotic and Carol Baskin, Exotic’s nemesis and the person he allegedly murdered. She is not satisfied with the series that portrays her as someone who would have killed her ex-husband.
