Chen Weifeng: On December 26, 2014, Tongxiang officially started sorting and disposing of household waste. In 2019, Tongxiang, after several expansions, basically achieved full coverage of the “four-rating” restructuring system. At present, Tongxiang has created the highly recognizable “Tong Picking Bag”, “Tong Steward”, “Tong Pioneer” and “Three Tongs and One Special” model of characteristic unit construction. The city’s household waste growth rate fell from 18.5% in 2015 to -1.21% in 2020, and the coverage rate of household waste classification, resource utilization, and harmless treatment rate reached 100 %. In 2020, Tongxiang was rated as an excellent unit for the evaluation of household waste sorting in Zhejiang province.

Journalist: Next, how does the Municipal Classification Office help to create a civilized national city?

Chen Weifeng: 2021 is the first year of the “XIV Five Year Plan”, and it is also a year of all-round decisive success in treating household waste in our city. We will focus on the opportunity of creating a civilized city and creating a waste-free city, and further polish Tongxiang’s “Three Tongyi” “Special” golden card to improve the quality and efficiency of household waste sorting. , and at the same time use more digital technology to penetrate the reform throughout the waste sorting process.

This year, our key job is to implement garbage sorting and delivery stations at fixed points in residential communities throughout the region. Last year, we took the lead in conducting pilot tests in 120 communities across the city. This year’s goal is to place garbage in fixed locations to achieve full coverage of all gated communities in the city, with a coverage rate of open communities exceeding 85%.

The regular fixed point garbage sorting and unloading station reduces the number of garbage containers and improves the overall community environment. At the same time, it can also encourage residents to develop good garbage disposal habits and improve the level of garbage classification. In addition, the station’s digital equipment has also changed the original way of collecting and transporting garbage. By monitoring and recording the behavior and quality of residents, it continually promotes the city’s household garbage classification to achieve a leap from quantitative change to qualitative change.

Journalist: After launching the regular and fixed-point disposal of household waste, what is the participation of the inhabitants of the Lianhua community?

Sun Jingjing: Since November last year, the Lianhua community has carried out garbage sorting, dumpster and container disposal in the Yuehuwan community. At present, the participation rate of residents in regular and fixed-point placement work has reached 90%, and they all learn from each other’s knowledge about garbage classification and monitor the garbage classification behavior of the the rest. Fixed-point and timed liberation work has also led to a new form of civilization. Then, based on extensive publicity and mobilization, the community will make full use of discussion platforms such as corridor bank meetings and community council meetings to encourage more people to participate in the ranking of the garbage and take practical action to help create a national system. civilized city.
