In the past two years, the development of China’s industrial Internet has entered the stage of large-scale promotion from the popularization of concepts and verification of technology. And potential for empowerment. With the in-depth development of the industrial Internet, the industry urgently needs a methodology with practical reference meaning to guide it in carrying out technical innovation, application promotion, and green building of the industrial Internet.
To this end, the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance, under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and most member units, after 3 years, based on the architecture of the Industrial Internet System (version 1.0) released In 2016, they studied and formulated the “Industrial Internet Architecture System (Version 2.0)” (hereinafter “Architecture 2.0”). After architecture 2.0 was launched in the alliance in October 2019, it was widely adopted and applied by the industry, strongly promoting industrial practice and innovative development of the industrial Internet. Based on a summary of practical experience, the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance is now officially launching Framework 2.0.
Architecture 2.0, based on the inheritance of the core concepts, elements and functional systems of version 1.0, redefines the reference architecture of the industrial Internet from three perspectives: business, function and implementation. It has the following three characteristics:
One is to build a complete system from business requirements to feature definition and deployment architecture
Its core is to start from the role and path of the industrial Internet in promoting industrial development, and guide companies to clarify their digital transformation business goals and business needs, and then determine the core functions and implementation framework of your industrial internet.
The second is to highlight the primary role of optimizing closed-loop data intelligence
Further clarifies the central role of the industrial Internet in realizing virtual and real interaction and optimizing analytics in physical space and digital space, and defines its functional levels and key elements to guide companies at different and different levels fields, such as equipment, production lines, companies, industries, etc. Develop accurate decision-making and smart optimization capabilities to promote the development of industrial intelligence;
The third is to guide industry application practice and system construction.
On the basis of fully considering the existing foundations of the company and the needs for transformation, combined with the relevant experience of a large number of national and foreign companies that have already carried out practices, proposes the implementation and deployment of networks, logos, platforms and security, and guides companies to carry out the construction of industrial Internet key systems and technology selection.
The current 2.0 architecture has begun to play an important leadership role in the exploration of industrial Internet applications, providing guidance and reference for governments, companies, scientific research institutions, investors and other parties. On the one hand, a group of industrial Internet companies has carried out comparative evaluations based on the 2.0 architecture, continues to improve its technical, product and service capabilities, and builds a business system with industrial Internet as its core. On the other hand, the petrochemical, steel, shipbuilding and other industries combined 2.0 architecture, successfully promoted their own industrial applications and systems construction, explored industry-specific transformation pathways, and led the overall development of high industry quality. At the same time, the industry’s innovation ecosystem is growing under the guidance of Architecture 2.0. 5G, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, edge computing and other technological innovations are active, and convergent products and solutions are constantly emerging.
In the next step, the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance will continue to deepen and enhance the connotation of Architecture 2.0, working with key industries to jointly carry out industrial architecture design, application promotion, and industrial green farming, explore modeling, and Internet industrial development pathways in various industries, and further promote industrial Internet innovation in China. In addition, the alliance will promote mutual recognition of the 2.0 framework and conventional international architecture, and will continue to expand international influence.
