“I am honored to announce that General Michael Flynn has been fully pardoned. Congratulations to Flynn and his wonderful family. I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!” Trump wrote in a tweet.
It is a great honor for me to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has received a full pardon. congratulations to @GenFlynn and your wonderful family, I know you will now have a really fantastic Thanksgiving.

Flynn was Trump’s first national security adviser. Since Trump took office, the Democratic Party has launched more than three years of investigations in Russia, and the Flynn case has also seen twists and turns. After Trump pardoned Flynn, Flynn could be completely free from the demands of the court and the Justice Department.
On the night of Tuesday (24), the online “politics” website quoted a source as saying that Flynn was just one of the pardons that Trump considered on the list.
Trump’s pardon of Flynn was a landmark move during Trump’s four-year term; because the Flynn case started at the beginning of Trump’s first term and eventually ended Trump’s first term. This investigation, which began with the FBI into “collusion” between the Trump campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 elections, has proven false.
Many Trump supporters view the retired Flynn as a victim of the Obama administration’s political retaliation.
Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell, and members of the conservative media accused the FBI of trapping Flynn and used his case as the basis for further investigations into Russia.
After receiving the waiver, Flynn is expected to continue cooperating with Powell’s attorneys to expose and challenge fraud in the 2020 U.S. elections.
Introduction to the Flynn case
In 2017, Flynn admitted to the FBI about the dialogue with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak in the “Russian Gate” investigation of special counsel Robert Mueller. The agent lied and was later sued by the Ministry of Justice.
As part of the plea deal at the time, Flynn agreed to cooperate with the government. Subsequently, Flynn changed his lawyer and strategy, arguing that the prosecutor in the case violated his rights, inducing him to admit that he lied about the conversation with the then Russian ambassador in Washington in December 2016.
The Justice Department denied Flynn’s embezzlement allegations against Mueller’s team. Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan dismissed Flynn’s new allegations in December 2019 and set an end date for the case.
Subsequently, Flynn filed a motion to withdraw his statement in court.
United States Attorney General William Barr appointed the supreme federal attorney in St. Louis in February 2020 to retry the Flynn case.
Handwritten interrogation notes provided by the FBI to Flynn’s attorneys exposed in late April showed that the FBI had “deliberately attempted to induce Flynn, the then national security adviser, to lie so he could be prosecuted or fired. This news item it almost completely reversed the basis of Mueller’s past accusations against Flynn.
The top federal prosecutor in charge of reviewing the case recommended that Flynn’s allegations be dropped, saying that the FBI interview in which Flynn lied was “conducted without any legal basis for the investigation.”
But Federal Judge Sullivan did not immediately agree to drop the charges, instead asking outside legal experts to evaluate this unusual case.
Flynn’s attorneys filed an urgent motion to compel Judge Sullivan to comply with the US Department of Justice’s decision.
In August, Flynn’s attorneys took Sullivan to the appeals court.
Fox News legal and political analyst Gregg Jarrett said Nov. 24 that Federal Judge Sullivan was “obviously” trying to take the Flynn case to Biden.
As of November 25, Judge Sullivan continued to refuse to obey the Ministry of Justice order and refused to drop the charges against Flynn.
