In terms of guaranteeing sorting facilities, Beijing has built 1,275 sorting stations, upgraded 63,200 fixed barrel stations, 3,945 painted garbage transport vehicles, and upgraded 805 closed cleaning stations.

In response to problems such as lack of transportation and timely disposal of waste that are more prominent among the public, Beijing has formulated a special treatment plan, established a management mechanism for streets and towns that rank first in the monthly demand for waste classification and ordered the operations of the removal units.

According to statistics, from November 2020 to March 2021, a total of 11,446 cases related to garbage classification were appealed in the ten ancient cities and towns of Beijing. The number of appeals in March decreased by 35.6% in compared to November 2020. In March, Beijing inspected 358 communities and found 1,171 problems. Problems found during inspections were listed and districts were notified to urge rectification.

According to Chen Rui, in March this year, the Beijing Municipal Household Waste Classification Promotion Work Headquarters carried out a comprehensive inspection and acceptance of the first batch of Beijing municipal household waste classification demonstration communities and villages. declared in 2021, and a total of 236 communities and villages were successfully established.
