According to police in Atlanta, Georgia, most of the eight killed were “Asian” women, who were killed in a series of shootings at various massage parlors in Acworth, a suburb of Atlanta.

The South Korean government has previously confirmed that at least four of the dead were of Korean descent.

Although the United States police stated that it is too early to say that the case is related to racial hatred, some Asian human rights organizations have stated that the Asian American community is currently “full of fear and pain” regardless of whether the case is related to “Asian hate.”
