Construction of the highway has set a record of “two world firsts”. First, the Tiger Leaping Gorge Jinsha River Bridge is a single-tower, single-span suspension bridge anchored to the ground. After the completion of the bridge, the bridge is the first span of its kind in the world. The roller-type composite chair was first used on a long-span suspension bridge in China. The second is that the Tiger Leaping Gorge Underground Interchange is the first time a Chinese highway has been adopted. This project has solved a world-class problem. Yunnan Lixiang Expressway Investment and Development Co., Ltd. issued an announcement on the 28th, stating that the Shangri-La-Lijiang Expressway was completed and has traffic conditions. It will be put into service from December 31 until the day of the official toll collection. The test section is from the Shangri-La Main Line Station to the Chongjiang River Toll Station, and from the Xionggu Toll Station to the Baihanchang Interchange.
