In the past year, Tianjin public security authorities successively discovered the “520” traffic hijacking and disruption of computer information systems, the “quarter payment platform” that helps information cybercriminals, a large-scale boutique shopping website being hacked and compensation for removing and blocking online posts. In the case of illegal operations and extortion of the “Naval Internet Forces”, more than 50 suspects were arrested, for more than 70 million yuan. Especially during the epidemic period, the city’s public security organs made the fight against epidemic-related crimes a key task of the special action “Net Net 2020”, detecting epidemic-related online fraud, manufacturing and selling fake and inferior anti-epidemic medical supplies, illegal trafficking and sale of precious wild animals, etc. that put the epidemic in serious danger In the prevention and control work, 156 cybercrimes were produced and 209 suspects were arrested.

Last year, the Tianjin Public Security Bureau comprehensively strengthened the Internet industry order rectification, focusing on the analysis of the key parts and links of network violations and crimes, and the strict inspection of Illegal companies and websites with poor execution of security management responsibilities. A total of 9784 security inspections of Internet service units were carried out throughout the year. 1005 companies were investigated and prosecuted. At the end of May 2020, the Ninghe branch of the Public Security Bureau received an alarm stating that the website server of a certain company in its jurisdiction had hijacked traffic and returned tampered data, resulting in severe economic losses . The Ninghe Public Security Bureau quickly coordinated with the relevant departments of the Municipal Public Security Bureau to mobilize the elite police to establish a special case team to carry out the case investigation work.

After nearly two months of a meticulous investigation, the task force locked up a gang suspected of sabotaging computer information systems with Zhang XX and Liu XX as the backbone. Following the investigation, the group has been involved in illegal business since 2018 and illegally made tens of millions of dollars in profits. In July 2020, the task force deployed more than 100 police officers and rushed to travel to Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong and other provinces and cities to carry out centralized and unified arrests. With the help of the local police, 18 suspects led by Zhang XX were successfully detained in one go. From August to September 2020, the task force revisited more than 20 provinces and cities, including Hebei and Shandong, to successfully arrest 21 suspects in the same case.
