Garbage disposal time at Xinkang Garden Community in the morning is until 8:30. It has been almost three months since the Linquan Yashe community of the high-tech zone implemented the sorting and disposal of household waste, but there are still many owners who are not willing to go to the sorting and disposal point, but prefer to take out community household waste and throw it at the bus station and other places. In addition, in residential areas such as Yuyuanjiayuan in Xiangcheng District, Ruijingyuan in Wuzhong District, Ruijing International in Wujiang District, and Xuefu Huayuan in High-Tech Zone, there are also landlords who report irregular waste disposal, but they have not received effective supervision.

The “Suzhou Municipal Household Waste Sorting Management Regulation” clearly stipulates that the person in charge of household waste sorting management should advise and stop the behavior that does not meet the sorting requirements; . The town government and sub-district offices are responsible for the day-to-day management of the sorting of household waste within their jurisdiction. Resident committees and villagers committees assist in publicizing and guiding the sorting and management of household waste, and cooperate with the township village government and sub-district offices to organize, mobilize and urge units and individuals within its jurisdiction to carry out the sorting and placement of household waste. The competent department of environmental health is responsible for the organization, coordination, orientation and supervision of the classification and management of household waste. The departments of housing and urban-rural development, agriculture and rural areas, commerce, ecological environment and others must carry out the corresponding orientation and supervision according to their respective functions.

Do a good job in sorting and handling household waste. The “Regulations” clarify the responsibilities of the various departments and units. Why are there so many community waste classifications that are not standardized, or even accused of mere formality?
