Currently, biodegradable plastics based on PLA and PBAT are the main applications for degradable plastics. However, due to their high cost and low penetration rate, Chen Yuanjun, an analyst at Soochow Securities, ranked the areas that are expected to be the first to develop biodegradable plastics, including express packaging, disposable plastic tableware, plastic bags. for purchase and agricultural mulch. By 2025, the demand for biodegradable plastics in the above four sectors will reach 1 million tons, 700,000 tons, 500,000 tons and 300,000 tons respectively, forming a total market space of around 2.5 million tons and a market scale of around of 50,000 million yuan.
