He said the completion of Mingshi is the starting point and witness of the innovation center’s new journey to promote the internationalization of Shenzhen and serve the “Belt and Road” initiative. Li Ming’s speech
In his speech, Li Ming thanked the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government for their great help in establishing and running the center; thanked SUSTech for providing permanent office space for the center and for providing comprehensive support for the operation of the center; thanked the colleges and cooperative companies associated with the center for their efforts; Thank you for your dedication. After the ceremony, the guests visited the “5th Anniversary Exhibition Growing with SUSTech-Innovation Center”. The Innovation Center is a second-class UNESCO organization, jointly organized by UNESCO and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, and is built on the foundation of SUSTech. In the five years since its establishment, the Innovation Center has focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Education 2030 Framework for Action, with the digital transformation of higher education driven by the application of technology from information and communication as his main focus, and he has conducted higher education exchanges in Asian and African countries along the Maritime Silk Road. Work with them to improve the universality, equity, and quality of higher education. At the same time, the Innovation Center uses the platform of international organizations to build a network of global partner universities for SUSTech, recruit international students and make contributions to platforms such as international conferences.
