Since the beginning of April, the international version of the health code has been implemented in the 27 countries with the highest risk of imported epidemics in accordance with the relevant national health codes for the prevention of epidemics.

At the “Consular Work Conference 2020” held today (17) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cui Aimin, Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented China’s remote control and prevention measures to reduce the risk of spread cross-border epidemic.

Cui Aimin said that China is the first to carry out remote prevention and control internationally. Through measures such as the international version of the health code for epidemic prevention, remote nucleic acid testing and serum antibody testing, we have woven a dense “safety net” for people in China and built a protective net. for the prevention and control of epidemics. “Firewall”.

Since the beginning of April, the international version of the health code has been implemented in the 27 countries with the highest risk of imported epidemics in accordance with the relevant national health codes for the prevention of epidemics. Passengers report on their personal health status for 14 consecutive days and finally board the plane to China with the green health code. Chinese citizens can also rely on the health code applet to quickly request the “nucleic acid code” to board the plane and return to their country, realizing the effect of the remote prevention and control “code”. So far, registered users of health codes have exceeded 1.5 million.

As the conditions for nucleic acid testing in various countries mature, China has combined its successful pilot experience to implement remote nucleic acid testing measures starting in July and, by the end of September, has achieved full coverage of all countries with navigation and all passengers arriving in China. Since early fall and winter, China has increased serum antibody testing for people coming to China and added “double insurance” to ensure the health and safety of international travel and reduce the risk of cross-border spread of the virus. epidemic.

Cui Aimin said that by implementing the “dual test”, some countries that do not have the conditions for the moment have adopted alternative programs such as the two nucleic acid test. Foreign embassies and consulates also designate testing agencies taking into account various factors such as quality of testing, cost effectiveness, convenience, etc., and dynamically adjust the list of testing agencies to ensure the quality of testing. . For individual cases where detection and transfer are really difficult, embassies and consulates abroad have made flexible handling depending on local conditions and, by coordinating and communicating with each other and with foreign parties, they will do everything. possible to help everyone embark on the journey home safely and smoothly.

So far, the “dual test” has been implemented in more than 160 countries around the world. Embassies and consulates abroad have reviewed nearly 530,000 test certificates and prevented 38,000 people from traveling with the disease.

Cui Aimin emphasized that for these people, we are not blocking them, but organizing and helping them to treat them. Facts have shown that remote sensing measures have largely prevented passengers from becoming infected on their way and have effectively reduced the risk of epidemics imported from abroad.
