Christie was the first governor to support Trump’s candidacy in 2016. Earlier this year, she also helped Trump respond to the debate with Biden.
In particular, he criticized Sidney Powell. The attorney appeared with Trump’s legal team at a news conference Thursday and testified without providing evidence that the electronic voting system had transferred millions of votes to Biden and the reason Biden won. It’s for “Communist Party money.”
But on Sunday, Trump’s team issued a statement to keep their distance from Powell, stating that she is an attorney in her own practice and not a member of Trump’s legal team. But Trump’s post earlier this month specifically named her as a member of the team.
