A man who traveled to Italy in September last year claimed to be the first person to be infected with the new coronavirus in the UK.
According to the British “Sun” report on the 16th, a Briton recalled that he had traveled to Rome, Italy, in September last year, after returning to the UK, he was hospitalized with a strange illness and was once seriously ill. This man suspected that he could be the first person infected with the new coronavirus in the United Kingdom.
In September 2019, Brian Strautti, 67, was reportedly admitted to hospital a week after returning from a vacation in Italy. Brian’s symptoms included shortness of breath, a sudden rise in body temperature, and a severe cough. These symptoms made him need to take oxygen in the hospital and stay in bed for several weeks. In an interview, he said that this moment was very bad and he felt that he was going to die.
Brian Strouty: I am completely broken, I cannot breathe, my throat is swollen. They inhaled oxygen, took X-rays, scanned me, and found blood clots in my lungs, but they couldn’t explain what the disease was. After taking oxygen in the hospital for a week, I finally went home. I stayed home for a few weeks and received treatment for pneumonia, which was the doctor’s diagnosis at the time.
During treatment, Brian underwent a series of tests for viruses and rare diseases, all of which came back negative. The doctor was also very confused about his symptoms and was unable to give a definitive diagnosis. When the new corona pneumonia epidemic broke out in Europe in February this year, Brian believed he was infected with the new corona virus.
Brian Strouty: In late February and early March, the new corona pneumonia epidemic swept through Europe, especially Italy. The symptoms announced by the media agree with each of my symptoms, I am convinced that I am a new coronary pneumonia, absolutely. Now there is new research that says the new corona virus appeared in Italy in September of last year. I went to Italy at that time. On September 13, I think I was infected at the time.
Brian’s daughter Emma Strouty, 44, reportedly developed similar symptoms in October 2019, although she has not been to Italy, after a few weeks of contact with her father. Emma Strautti is convinced that she is also infected with the new corona virus.
Earlier, British media reported in June that Susanna Ford of London, UK, could be the latest “coronal zero patient” discovered in the UK. He said he was feeling very bad when he returned to China from Austria on January 6. He subsequently tested positive for the new corona antibody, which was almost a month earlier than the first known confirmed case in the UK. And Brian Strouty had similar symptoms, four months before Susanna Ford.
