The census is a timely compilation of information on basic national conditions and population strength in the context of rapid development and change. The census is divided into three stages: preparation, registration, data collection and dissemination. Since the survey began on October 11, 7 million census workers across the country have used corporate WeChat to conduct door-to-door surveys to find basic information on census subjects and record the census methods they expect. All provinces and cities also actively held meetings to advance the mapping work and present clear requirements and work instructions for the mapping work.
At the official start of the census, Tencent Cloud provides back-end support, and the WeChat company opens the capabilities of the WeChat applet to help census takers enter information. Households willing to complete the report can enter the “WeChat Census Mini Program” to complete the entry of family members and personal information by scanning the unique QR code with the household code provided by the census during the census survey process.
Those who need the help of the enumerators to register can make an appointment to register in advance. Census officers will come to register at the appropriate time and use smart devices such as cell phones and pads to help census takers enter the information from the “WeChat Census Mini Program.” Residents who need to modify the information can re-enter the mini-program before November 5 and click “Cancel Report” to complete the information again.
It is worth mentioning that the data during the collection process will be uploaded to the country in real time, effectively eliminating possible human interference in intermediate links.
“Compared to the previous one, the biggest change in the seventh national census is the implementation of electronic collection and the use of small programs to complete the information.
