“Preparations for the 3rd CIIE are ready.” Chen Yin, Shanghai’s executive vice mayor and deputy executive director of the CIIE Executive Committee, said the energy level and the 3rd CIIE level are superior. The direction of professional exhibitions is more prominent, participation in exhibitions is more convenient, the service guarantee is more refined, the urban environment is more beautiful, and the spill-over effect of the CIIE is greater.
Sun Chenghai, deputy director of the China International Import Expo Bureau, introduced that under the epidemic, the attractiveness of the CIIE has not diminished, the trade exhibition area has expanded, and the quality of exhibitors has been higher. The rate of return of Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders exceeded 70%, and the exhibition area increased by 14% compared to the previous exhibition. Nearly 50 Fortune 500 and industry leaders participated in the expo for the first time this year. Dozens of companies have signed contracts for the next three consecutive sessions. Hundreds of new products, new technologies and new services were launched at the “World Premiere, First China Exhibition”
Sun Chenghai presented that under the special circumstances of this year, this year’s CIIE took the initiative to control the scale of participants and focused on inviting trade visitors with clear purchasing intentions. Even so, buyers from all over the country still actively registered and formed a total of 39 Commercial Delegations, about 600 subgroups, 112,000 registered units and 400,000 registered persons.
It is worth noting that this year’s Hongqiao International Economic Forum will be held in a more innovative way. It will take place on the evening of November 4 with a combination of online and offline methods, taking into account the different time zones of the world and inviting people from all walks of life, politics, business, the academia and companies to meet on this platform. Focusing on the theme of “Together in the same boat to meet challenges, open cooperation and share the future”, discuss global economic and trade cooperation under the standardization of epidemic prevention and control and send “Hongqiao Voice” to create a global shared international public platform.
Shang Yuying, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Municipal Government and Director of the CIIE Leading Group Office, presented that two anti-epidemic filter lines were installed at the entrance and exit of the third CIIE, and measures were taken such as inspection integrated security and intelligent temperature measurement to achieve “No perception, no permanence, traceability”. Shanghai has implemented 33 CIIE designated hospitals and established 5 medical points at the exhibition site, equipped with 12 ambulances, 7 on-site treatment teams, 25 temporary observation and treatment points, and about 400 medical personnel.
