One of the proposals is to advance the summer vacation or shorten it to three or four weeks. Not all parents are equally happy about that, especially those who have already booked vacations. Another proposal is to extend school days after summer break, so that students go to school from 9 am to 5 pm, for example.

Vulnerable

The Board of Education includes in the proposals that parents would like to go on vacation and that teachers complain about the high workload due to digital teaching. However, the most urgent need is vulnerable children for whom the home is not safe or where there are no means of homeschooling. They really need help as soon as possible, says the Board of Education. The cabinet will likely make a decision Tuesday to reopen the schools.
