The 18-year-old boy who was found seriously injured next to his bicycle in Oss on Sunday morning has been the victim of a stabbing. Police reported this on Monday.
The young cyclist was found around 7:45 am at the intersection of Julianasingel and Dr. Saal van Zwanenbergsingel. The alarmed emergency services could no longer save his life, he died instantly.
Police discovered a 25-year-old suspect Sunday after a report of a confused person at the station in Oss. At his arrest it turned out to have a knife. He is a Heesch man known to the police. He will be brought before the examining magistrate on Wednesday.
According to the police, it still does not appear that the victim and the suspect knew each other. It is still unclear what preceded the stabbing. The criminal investigation is still in progress. According to From Telegraaf the victim was heading to the retirement home where he worked.
