Report of the Comptroller’s Office reveals that 54 people with criminal records were hired in the Municipality of San Ramón

The Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic presented on Tuesday the final report on compliance with the disabilities in the Municipality of San Ramón for the hiring of people with criminal records.

The Comptroller’s report, consigned by the media Biobío, It details that four people hired by the municipality had family ties with officials who held managerial positions, which violates Article 54.

It was also found that 18 officials who worked for fees were hired by the municipality despite having convictions.

In addition, 36 people hired between 2014 and 2019 had annotations for crimes or offenses in the criminal record of the Civil Registry and Identification Service.

It is worth noting that these contracts were not registered in the State Administration Personnel Information and Control System, so the communal entity will have to terminate said contractual ties within 60 business days.

Another detail that the Comptroller’s report revealed are disbursements for $ 5,503,888 for fee services without the municipality disclosing the endorsements of those payments.

Finally, the information was sent to the Public Ministry and the State Defense Council (CDE).
