A Brazilian evangelical pastor is in the middle of the controversy after being caught unknowingly assaulting his wife during live video. After the incident, the subject began to give a speech to his parishioners, calling for peace.
According to Infobae, the man was identified as Edson Araujo, who is a pastor of the church Dios es Amor, in the city of San Pablo.
In the video, it is observed that, just before starting with his review, Araujo becomes confused with his wife because the camera was not properly positioned. Because of that he gets up and throws a blow, which is not known if it was directed at him, and swears at him.
“I’m fed up, shit. Do things right, you idiot! ”, indicated at first. After that came another claim: “Order the business well.”
Already calmer, the pastor begins his speech calling to his faithful to “Accept the peace of the Lord.”
As expected, the situation generated considerable criticism of the man, both from the members of his church and from other evangelical groups in the city.
That is why he himself was forced to publish a new video apologizing to his faithful, although he stressed that at no time did he hit his wife. The woman was present at the recording, although looking down and with evident reluctance.
“Yesterday we were on duty hours, and we didn’t have a correct team position, so I got up and went to try to order, and then I ended up throwing another cell phone that broadcasts the hymn ” start.
“That device fell to the ground and broke. I entered there recklessly, in the wrong way, that I couldn’t act because of that behavior and the way I acted, I spoke a word, we never had any kind of problem, “he added.
Finally, Araujo said that together with his wife they have been dedicated to the church for four years, adding that this behavior is not consistent with his person.
“I want here, in advance, God first, I want to publicly ask my forgiveness and that of my wife Deborah for my attitude, my mistake and my failure. I want to apologize for my pastor, Elías and my family and hers and all the pastors who trusted and remained confident in my work ”, he concluded.
