In 1989, the Swiss multinational Nestle had an approach with the family Mckay, which culminated in the closing of a successful business: he bought their famous cookies of the same name for a sum of more than US $ 43 million at that time.

And these days, a mega agreement could be concluded between both parties again.

According to the newspaper El Mercurio, Nestlé would be interested in buying the chocolate shop Party, one of the largest in the country with at least 50 points of sale plus an online store with home delivery.

The company has had its operations center in the Quilicura district for 14 years and employs 350 people.

Currently, three partners control the chocolate shop and Jorge McKay Alliende actively work on it. He is the son of Jorge Mckay Harseim, who used to own the biscuit factory.

According to the aforementioned media, the eventual operation between La Fête and Nestlé would be handled under strict reservation.
