Horst Paulmann: “We have made fast and precise decisions. Today Cencosud is another and there will be many more changes ”

Although he did not participate in the Cencosud shareholders’ meeting, which was held this Thursday in the Costanera Tower, the president and controller of the company, Horst Paulmann sent a message to those who participated in the meeting.

“We are sailing in rough waters, how do we get out of this? Correcting course and not running aground on the ship. Precise and fast decisions, we cannot lose a day ”, he pointed out. “We have made fast and precise decisions, zero tolerance to reposition the company. Today Cencosud is another and there will be many more changes ”, he added.

In this sense, the businessman recalled that “a few months ago we shrunk the central administration, joining divisions and managing administrations in the five countries where the group is present with local managers with several years of experience.”

Thus, he stressed that “we greatly reduce debts, expenses and improve efficiencies” and that “all employees trust and support these changes.”

Additionally, he recognized the effort of the collaborators “to give a better service and quality”.
