On was the debate between Ana Lya Uriarte, Michelle Bachelet’s former chief of staff, and José Antonio Kast, in the edition of Estado Nacional this Sunday.
“It’s amazing how bad you can be”, The former president’s collaborator reproached the leader of the Republican Party. This, due to the link that it made when relating it to the thermoelectric business.
And it is that Kast, read an article where it was indicated: “We hired Ana Lya Uriarte because Gonzalo Vial was interested in buying the Los Guindos thermoelectric plant and it was necessary to know if the plant was what was offered and she was paid from the account current of Mauricio Valero “.
Citing a document published by Radio BioBío, Bachelet’s collaborator received a payment that was made through the issuance of two invoices from the company Sustentabogadas Ltda, owned by Uriarte. Both, he detailed, were delivered on July 31, 2012. The first assigned with the number 03 for a total of $ 615,874 and another number 04 for $ 19,000,000.
Despite the questions, the former chief of staff of Bachelet said that she was only consulted as to whether or not it was possible to transfer a rating resolution. That is why she considered Kast’s words to constitute an “insidious statement”. “First: I have not defended thermoelectric plants. And second: you use that I made a query to say that I have defended thermoelectric plants. That is a gesture that shows your immorality”, he sentenced.
Against Bachelet and Lavín
As part of his participation as a panelist in the program, Kast also directed his darts against the mayor of Las Condes, Joaquín Lavín. “He is using the entire municipal apparatus to say ‘I want to be mayor’ and then he is going to say ‘I feel a call from the country,” he said.

Ana Lya Uriarte will have to explain the inexplicable. She should not be a National State panelist.#KastPredidenteEN #ENational pic.twitter.com/jN6bLqr2dN
