Four Chinese citizens – three men and a woman – were found this Friday, who were locked up for more than a week in a closed premises in Villa Alemana. The Prosecutor’s Office ordered to open the access – sealed with welds – for their rescue, but they found that they had supplies and two rooms inside.
The event occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on 677 Valparaíso avenue, when Carabineros personnel managed to verify that the people had been unable to leave, after the closing of the store – forced by the municipality – that occurred on August 20 recently past.
Precisely the building house had ordered the closure, after it was detected that they had slot machines, which contravened their patent that empowered them only to sell clothing and household items and utensils.
Given this fact, the prosecutor on duty ordered to open the door that had been sealed with welding, in order to remove the people who were inside the business premises.
However, when the Chinese citizens were rescued, they refused to verify the injuries and be treated by medical personnel, as it was discovered that they kept two bedrooms, supplies and food inside.
In the same way, they refused to leave the place, which is why a complaint was made to the Local Police Court, in order for that court to order the removal of said people if appropriate.
