Although there is no further evidence regarding the possible design of the Toyota Corolla Cross, designers such as the Brazilian Kleber Silva already imagine what the next compact SUV of the Japanese brand could look like.
Until a few days ago, few had on the radar the Toyota Corolla Cross, new SUV of the “C” segment that the brand is currently preparing for different global markets and that, in addition, will be produced in Brazil for Latin America. But after the appearance of its first spy photos, the vehicle aroused obvious interest given the implications it will have on the market.
This new model, whose name was disclosed by international media from records made in some countries, effectively will be based almost entirely on the Corolla. With the sedan it will share platform, engines and technologies, which assumes the existence of a hybrid version.
Some say the Corolla Cross will be located in between the current C-HR and RAV4, designed to compete with models like Jeep Compass, Mazda CX-30, Ford Territory and the next Volkswagen Tarek. But until now, there were no clues to his final appearance.
Digital projection
Thanks to the talent of the Brazilian designer Kleber SilvaWe can have at least an idea of what the Toyota Corolla Cross will look like at launch. The only real references of the car are the spy images captured in Thailand, and which were widely disseminated on the Internet, but it was enough for Silva to present the ‘renders’ that accompany this note.
Sure, there is no certainty on whether the SUV really will be as we see here, but very surely will have similarities. As new data appears, we will surely be able to corroborate this data.
As stated before, this model is expected to adopt the engines present in the conventional Corolla. This is the It him 1.8 hybrid 122 horse and the 2.0 170-horsepower gasoline, possibly with the same type of CVT transmissions.
