The Pension Fund Administrators (AFP) have already paid retirement savings to 725 thousand members who entered their application on the first day of the process, which began last Thursday.
Five AFPs –Modelo, Cuprum, Provida, UNO and Capital– They chose to transfer the money in advance, before the legal deadline of 10 working days, which is fulfilled on Thursday of this week with respect to those who made the process as soon as the application process began, at least for the first installment.
“Some Administrators have already begun to pay for the applications that were entered on the first day of the process, and we expect payments to continue, in order to comply with the period of 10 business days established by law “, highlighted Fernando Larrain, general manager of the AFP Association.
According to the Superintendency of Pensions, 6.1 million affiliates have already requested the withdrawal of part of their pension savings, which corresponds to 56 percent of those who still have a balance in their mandatory individual capitalization account after the first withdrawal.
