The Pittsburgh Steelers have a full November and TJ Watt, the AFC Defensive Player of the Month, was one of the main reasons. Watt had 5.5 sacks in five games, including 18 tackles, five tackles for loss and three passes saved.
The New Reliance Saints defense has become a dominant entity, catching three of its opponents on November 5 in single-digits in 5-0 months and not allowing more than 23 points in the game. NFC defensive player of the month Cameron Jordan has been a major force in the defensive dominance of New Orleans, producing 12 tackles, five sacks and six tackles for losses during that period.
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders was almost perfect in November, but that was high enough to warrant the AFC Special Teams player of the month as he missed just one of 23 kicks. In an excellently accurate 11th month, Sanders booted nine field goals in 10 attempts, including a 50-plus six. He added 13 extra points on the lucky 13 attempts as he holds 40 points during the month.
With 14 field goals in many attempts, Atlanta Falcons kicker Youngho started the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Month at home. Cooney has been outstanding this season and November was proof of that as he was 1 point taller and 9-of-10 in post-point efforts.
