Chiefs Patrick Mahomes challenges Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen to launch a Madden 21 rating contest

If Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen challenge each other to shoot enough, maybe it will finally happen.

Mahomes threw the final challenge in a SportsCenter Madden NFL 21 special after being asked about following the Buffalo Bills QB in shooting power. The EA Sports game gave Allen a score of 99, while Mahomes received a 97. Mahomes recognized Allen’s strong arm, but once again proposed a tiebreaker to settle the argument once and for all.

“Dude, obviously Josh has an extremely strong arm, but I still haven’t seen anyone who has an arm stronger than me,” said Mahomes. “Maybe we can line up … I know we talked about maybe having a tiebreaker and then we can test who really has the strongest arm.”

When asked if he would win, Mahomes said he was confident in his ability to throw the ball at least 80-85 yards.

“I have the highest belief in myself. I mean he has a strong arm, but if I put it out there like 80-85 yards … If he wins, he wins. ”

Mahomes and Allen have talked about a possible launch contest since last season.

Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take asked Allen in February 2019 who could throw a ball further. The quarterback simply replied, “We can find out.”

Mahomes responded quickly in 2019. Just as he said on Friday night, Mahomes believes it would take a pitch of at least 85 yards to defeat him.

“Josh is a great guy, but no one I’ve ever met has been able to throw a ball farther than I have,” Mahomes said in a possible pitch in 2019. “I’ve never seen Josh pitch in person, but maybe the next one out of season. We can set something up (to see who can pitch the most). I hope he can get him to come to Kansas City and we can do something for charity. It’s going to take at least 85 yards to win (the tiebreaker). “

A season tiebreaker is unlikely, but Bills and Chiefs fans will be able to watch the two-quarterback duel this season when Buffalo hosts Kansas City on Thursday night on October 15.
